We pray that everyone is safe after an unbeliveable past week of Hurricane Harvey and it's aftermath to the Houston and surrounding area. As the water begins to recede, the true impact of the devestation has begun to set in and a few of our classmates have reached out for assistance (physical, financial, spiritual, and emotional), so we wanted to make sure we're not overlooking anyone and funneling any available assistance to where it's most needed. It's great to donate to shelters and large organizations, but it's also amazing to be of service to those who you know.

We've updated the class reunion site w/ two forms, one asking for assistance and one asking for donations/volunteers. Please fill-out the form that is applicable to you, and we'll try our best to match the help with the need.

To ensure that we reach everyone, please spread the word via your social media account by sharing to your timeline! We want to help everyone, but will try to prioritize based on Class of 1996 classmates and impact/need. If you have any questions, please email us at info@humblereunion.com.

Assistance Needed: Demolition/Clean-up to Home; Prayer
The love, prayers, calls, texts, support, thoughts...they are literally sustaining us. You all are breathing life back into us. Walking through our home that we have lovingly restored for over three years to asses the damage...gut wrenching. I can't describe it. The sight of wading through your belongings that you have gathered while building a life together for a decade...I'm speechless. I took a private walk around. Had my moment. And now...it's time to put my big girl panties on ... zip up these snake boots and get to work. If I've learned anything these past few days...it's that my family is loved beyond measure. I have deepened relationships and made new friends. To be served and not the servant has deepened my perspective on what it means to be truly and completely selfless. Tribe...we need you. Not only does my family need you..my entire street needs you. My neighbor across the street is 80 years old, widowed and currently out of the country. We got a small head start tonight moving items out but we need a work horse of a day tomorrow. We will be here at 8 am. If you can, bring gloves, garbage bags, tools etc... I'll also need to coordinate water, drinks, food etc... Don't mind me tomorrow if I burst into tears when I see you! With a grateful heart...our cup STILL runneth over. Kim, Austin, Ty, Nina, Carly, Scout and Nina.

All pride has been washed away with hurricane Harvey himself. We are in the process of demolishing the bottom 4 ft of the house and need help. If anyone is willing to come be a part of this effort it is getting started and expected to take off tomorrow morning. Please message me via FB if you are available. We are located in the Energy Corridor at Eldridge and I10 if it is safe for you to make it out that direction.

Assistance Needed: Financial; Clothing; Prayer
We had a bottom-leveled apartment in Kingwood that got about 2 feet of water. We actually had to go up to a 2nd level apt to flee the water. Good Samaritans picked my family up by boat on Tuesday, Aug 29th. We're now at my parents house in Atascocita. I was able to save some clothing, tv's and game systems we put up high. Everything, including our 2 vehicles are a total loss. Really im fortunate to have my family and cats safe, but being on foot right now is becoming a burden. We are a one income family now, since I decided to go back to school, and now hubby can't get to work without bumming rides. I have applied for FEMA, but haven't heard back as of yet. Hubby and my son wear about a size L-XL, 9 & 10 5 shoes. My daughter wears about an XS-S in misses, even kids 12/14! So far I've received one Queen mattress, so I'm also needing 2 more for the kids, who are 19 & 13.
